Harnessing Hope in the “Nick of Time”

There are many of those who I counsel, who ask me.
When do you think this situation will change ?
Such questions are based on hope. But they also yearn for what is primal in our lives . That is truth. Truth is a very powerful thing. Even Love cannot survive in true essence without truth.
The point I am making is simple. We must live each day in hope, However when HOPE is not governed by TIME it then becomes hopeless.
Don’t let hope, that once brought you joy, now bring you pain. Whatever you hoped for needs to be within a span of time. If you want someone to commit to you, give yourself a time frame, don’t just let time just pass you by. day after day. This is about your growth and advancement. If you have a project that you want to succeed then think of completing it within a reasonable period.
I have counseled many who have waited for years and found that even youth have passed them by. and they are still waiting! For what !Sometimes even they don’t quite know. For the reality of the situation has gone through many changes. But they have been living in their minds. In their hope and now it is hopeless. Remember You are NOT hopeless. You are full of Joy. But only You can harness it. Only You can truly feel your joy.
There is a time for everything. and you too deserve to be happy. Sometimes all paths do not work out the way we would like them to . Which is no fault of yours. But you can make that change. Try a new path. Try a new way. You will not loose.
Remember we all have only a limited time in each life time. What we do with that time we are accountable for. So don’t wait too long. Remember that love is for all. If you do not have it in your path now then create a new path and joy will be yours.
Remember also a very important truth. That your experiences are NOT wasted. They are what gives you deeper insight to life it self. So you may not have won that battle. But You have won the war, So let us celebrate LIFE and not just wait around for it to happen.
So let us savor them, with much appreciation.
Realizing that we are lucky that we as humans can reach out and hold a hand.

I read this and had mixed feelings about what you wrote. In a way I thought it was good. However, like Abraham in the bible when he thought there was no way his dream could come true,after many years God blessed him and Sara with a child. When all their hope had faded. Even Sara laughed when she was given the revelation.
When you feel God has put something in your heart be it career, love, etc and everyone tells you give it up because it has not come to pass and it has been a long time. Only God knows and even though your hope may have faded should you turn away? I am not sure if it is something that your heart truly believes. The bible says God will give you the desires of your heart, is that not true? Should it say God will give you the desires of your heart and if it does not happen in x amount of time, oh well find something else. I am conflicted on this one. I know you come from a place of working on helping others and I just don’t know completely about this. You are always thought provoking and an inspiration. ( c :

Yes I agree that God does give us the desires of our hearts , but also we you and I have to have good works attached to it. Desire does not stand alone ( as you know ) also if our desires involve another then it takes a whole another twist. The desire of the other person and that persons actionmust be in alinement with yours. I have read for many who are waiting for their loved ones who have married others and it is a hard situation.

The incident with Abraham is a slightly deferent context. They were married and so together. Both their desires was to have a child. as you can see they both were in alinement with each other and so God did hear their prayer. Now I don’t profess to know the extent of God’s grace and mercy. I think he loves us all, no matter what. However God does not interfere in our choices. and that is why some of us have to make changes in oder to have a fulfilled life. I do know that God wants us all to be happy, and even though pain is here because of things that we do he does not change that. He will give us spiritual instruments to handle it all. and he will be with us no matter what. That is why I said it is better to have a time for our dreams. For each day is a gift . and each day we don’t feel joyful is a missed opportunity for the soul to find completion. God bless you Anita. Thank you for all your kind . They have truly helped.
